Big Fun for Little People

February 8, 2022

It’s no big surprise that kids involved in performing arts have major payoffs for their development. Research suggests that children who sing/dance/act/play their little hearts out tend to have enhanced cognitive, motor & social developmental skills than their non-performing friends.

For instance, performance can strengthen little people’s abilities to think quick on their feet, master their anxiety better, express brand-new emotions, enhance self-esteem & see the world in a whole new way. Not to mention its super fun & encourages free play. It’s no wonder then that imaginative children’s festivals like DreamBIG are so popular & circus schools like Cirkidz are renowned for their developmental offerings.

From a performer’s point of view, there’s nothing quite like captivating an entire audience of little people. Time can stand still when you know you have invited little minds into the world of make-believe. Not to mention their honest commentary makes for comedy gold & adds a whole new dimension to a show – without fail!

These are some of the reasons why we love to entertain little people. Co-Founder of Bamboozled Productions and world-class juggler Nigel Martin has been delighting little audiences all over the globe as Mr Spin for more than a decade with his infectious energy and endearing charismatic wit. Drawing inspiration from one of circus’ finest – Reg Bolton, who used the circus for education and community development, Reg was a pioneer in educational community circuses and influenced a whole generation of performers to come.

This is why we’re absolutely thrilled to announce Nigel’s brand-new, 50-minute mega-stunt, slapstick musical Mr Spin’s BAM WOW Amazing Show! Rally up your kids, nieces, nephews, grandkids and go see Adelaide’s most highly skilled, comic vaudevillian performers at Adelaide Fringe this season. As the research supports: something developmentally beneficial for your little people and let’s be completely honest fun for the whole family!
